KREONET-NOC
KREONET-NOC has been providing uninterrupted and reliable 24×7×365 services for over 35 years, since the launch of the national science and technology research network project in 1988. In parallel with the continued expansion of large-scale research network infrastructure, the center has steadily advanced its operational capabilities to ensure robust and responsive support.
Specialized in research networking, the KREONET-NOC supports network operations through advanced network management practices and customized operational tools tailored for research environments. In particular, the KREONET proactively adopts innovative technologies to deliver ting-edge services, and the NOC actively integrates these technologies into its operational environment to ensure high performance and reliability.
Furthermore, the NOC has established a strong collaborative framework with member institutions to ensure stable and resilient network services. It also maintains close operational coordination with domestic and international internet service providers, as well as global research and education network operators.


Network Monitoring and User Support
KREONET-NOC functions as a central coordination point among institutional users, equipment vendors, and the network infrastructure. Serving as the first line of response, the NOC detects and addresses network issues either in close collaboration with users or proactively—often resolving incidents before they are even noticed by the end user.

Network Engineering and Technical Support
KREONET-NOC is a dedicated team of network specialists that delivers 24/7 monitoring, management, and technical support for institutional users. The NOC is equipped to rapidly and professionally diagnose and resolve issues across all layers of the network stack, including Layer 1 (physical), Layer 2 (data link), and Layer 3 (network).

Network Security Services
KREONET-NOC, in collaboration with the Science and Technology Cyber Security Center (S&T-CSC), provides security monitoring services for KREONET member institutions. Established by KISTI in 2005, the S&T-CSC delivers comprehensive cybersecurity services—including real-time monitoring, incident response, and proactive threat mitigation—for government-funded research institutes and public organizations in the science and technology sector.
